Funeral for Fr. Kenneth Barclay
Your kind prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Reverend Kenneth Barclay, a retired priest of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg, who passed away on Wednesday, April 26th, at the age of 94. May he rest in peace.
A funeral Mass for Fr. Barclay will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 10:00 am. Most Reverend Richard Gagnon, Archbishop of Winnipeg, presiding. NWLF: "Open Letter to the Government" and "Message to the Catholic Faithful" from the CCCB
The Church in Canada - In the National Family and Life Week context, the Permanent Council of the CCCB has issued an Open Letter to the Government and a Message to the Catholic Faithful on permitting persons with mental illness to access euthanasia/assisted suicide. Prior to being submitted to the Permanent Council for approval, the texts were drafted by the CCCB Office for Family and Life and reviewed by several Bishops, as well as experts in the fields of ethics, law, medicine, mental health, and palliative care. Spiritual Exercises: Spring Preparation - Begins May 17, 2023
The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius are a user-friendly way to understand how God works in our lives, how to make wise choices, and how to find God in the people and experiences that fill our days. While they require a time commitment and presume some prayer experience, they are open to anyone who seriously seeks to enhance the quality of their relationship with God.

If you are interested in exploring the Spiritual Exercises, it is highly recommended that you attend the Spring Preparation.
