The Summons - Adult Faith Formation Since 2009

The Summons begins again in September 2023. The Summons is a 10 session Archdiocesan faith formation process designed for ANY adult who desires to grow in our Catholic faith. One Saturday per month from September - June, we gather in Portage la Prairie (Good Shepherd Parish) with like-minded adults to search and go deeper into our Catholic faith. Sometimes I feel dissatisfied, restless, searching for more but I don’t know what to do or what it means? Is God saying something to me in this? How do I know what God is wanting of me? How can I deepen my faith and trust more in God? How can I grow in understanding more of my Catholic faith? How do I make sense of the struggles and trials of my life? If these questions speak to you, THE SUMMONS is calling you.

Catholic School of Evangelization Discipleship Formation Program

Fr Dylan Schrader, a priest of the Diocese of Jefferson City, Missouri will deliver a two part talk on religious truth, faith and reason, propositional assent, religious submission of will and intellect, the role of the magisterium, infallibility and the distinction between discipline and doctrine on the evenings Monday June 5th & Tuesday June 6th, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at St. Ann's Church.

Growing in Wisdom: Seeking Deeper Generativity - Info Session June 8, 2023

This ecumenical program is grounded in the mystical Christian Tradition, open to learning from other interfaith and spiritual traditions, and designed for those seeking to engage in their maturing years with wisdom and grace. This program is rooted in the Forest Dwelling Program, Oblate School of Theology, and the ground-breaking work of Fr. Ron Rolheiser OMI. Applications are now being accepted for the September 2023 – June 2025 program. Development and Peace: Manitoba Regional Assembly - June 10, 2023

Development and Peace invites you to the Manitoba Regional Assembly on Saturday, June 10 at the Parish of St. Timothy (135 John Forysth Road) from 9:00-3:30pm, followed by the celebration of the Holy Mass at 4:00 pm. This year’s theme is: Creating hope for today and the future.  This gathering includes a presentation of the partners of Development and Peace within the Caritas Internationalis network. The Serra Club of Winnipeg is hosting a Father's Day Soup Drive! Purchase handmade artisan soups prepared by the chefs at the Winnipeg Squash Club for the Father of your parish, family or both! Soups are $20 for a 1 litre container and come prepared and frozen. Saint Philomena Walking Pilgrimage - August 11-14, 2023

The Saint Philomena Walking Pilgrimage, sponsored by the Archdiocese of Regina, will be happening again this year. It will start on August 11th in Yorkton and finish on August 14th at Rama, SK. This is a guided pilgrimage with rest stops, meals, support vehicles, and a trailer carrying tents and sleeping gear to each overnight stop.
