Casting Call for the Summer Production of Manitoba's Passion Play - February 13, 2024
Manitoba's Passion Play in La Riviere, Manitoba, is doing a casting call for their 2024 Passion Play! They are looking for volunteer actors, crew, musicians, and many volunteers willing to promote the play and bring the life of Jesus Christ to life this summer at the OakValley Outdoor Theater Site in La Riviere, Manitoba. Growing in Wisdom: Seeking Deeper Generativity - February 17, 2024
This ecumenical program is grounded in the mystical Christian Tradition, open to learning from other interfaith and spiritual traditions and designed for those seeking to engage in their maturing years with wisdom and grace. This program is rooted in the Forest Dwelling Program, Oblate School of Theology, and the ground-breaking work of Fr. Ron Rolheiser OMI. Dinner and Move Night at St. Ignatius - February 17, 2024
The Knights of Columbus at St. Ignatius Parish are hosting a dinner and a movie night, screening the documentary film "Mother Teresa: No Greater Love" on their projector screen in the parish hall. The event is on Saturday, February 17. Doors open at 6 pm, pizza dinner at 6:30 pm, and the movie begins at 7 pm. No tickets are necessary. They will collect $20 at the door, with all proceeds donated to the poor as served by the Missionaries of Charity.

Rite of Election - February 24, 2024
This year, the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion takes place on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, during the 5:00 pm St. Mary’s Cathedral Liturgy. At the Rite of Election, the Archbishop summons the Catechumens to the Easter sacraments in the name of the whole Church. Also, Candidates for Full Communion who were already baptized in another Christian tradition and are seeking to enter full communion with the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Confirmation and the Eucharist, along with their sponsors, are invited to attend the Rite of Election. His Grace will acknowledge their presence as a group. The Rite of Election Letter and Forms are to be completed and submitted by Thursday, February 1st, 2024, to Jvasquez@archwinnipeg.ca. Serra Club Winnipeg continues to share the goals of Serra International, promoting Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life and encouraging the spiritual and intellectual formation of lay Catholics to help them live their own Christian vocation to service. The Serrans are committed to creating a Culture of Vocations in parishes and dioceses as the primary strategy to achieve the Serra Mission. Would you know how to have a conversation that could help a friend or relative better manage their strained relationship? Then this training course may be for you!
The Marital First Responders (MFR) training course is a great tool for using the power of existing personal networks to create healthier, happier and more stable relationships. This workshop is suitable for those involved in couple and marital work, as well as anyone who would like to provide better personal help to friends and family members in emotional distress. Participants will learn the seven essential skills captured in two acronyms:
LEAP - Listen. Empathise. Affirm. Perspective.
CAR - Challenge. Advice. Resources.
The MFR Training Course is offered by the Archdiocese of Saint Boniface Marriage, Family & Life Office and the Marriage Family Life Team of St. Timothy Parish.
