Serra Club of Winnipeg - Serra Club Dinner Coordinator
The Serra Club of Winnipeg is looking for someone to take on the job of the Annual Serra Club Dinner, which is usually held in October of each year. The purpose of the dinner is to raise money and help defray the costs for priests entering the seminary. In the past years, the Serra Club has managed to do the job. However, many of the older Serrans have passed away. This problem, coupled with a lack of interest in membership, has left the Serra Club with no one who would take on the job. Keep in mind that there is help – a lot of help. There just isn’t a main person to send out letters in August, keep track of the money and people attending, and, in the last 2 or 3 days, make up the seating for the dinner. This is the main and most important job and the one we would like to fill. The Serra Club has sponsored this dinner for at least 40 years and has supported the Archbishop. It is really a shame to see this work end. If you have the ability or know of someone who does, please contact Marlene Coughlin at (204) 471- 4609.

The Migration Office Coordinator provides administrative support and formation to parishes sponsoring and resettling individuals and families; monitors parishes/constituent groups to ensure the diocese's responsibilities as a Sponsorship Agreement Holder are met; and promotes awareness about refugee sponsorship in the diocese. Join the Archdiocese of Winnipeg for the 35th Annual Public Way of the Cross on Good Friday, March 29, 2024, at Christ the King Chapel in St. Paul's College (70 Dysart Road). We will begin at 9:00 am with an opening prayer and remarks by Archbishop Richard Gagnon, followed by the Public Way of the Cross.
This year's theme is inspired by Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Let us come together to pray and reflect on the Way of the Cross. International Day at St. Mary's Academy- April 21, 2024
International Day, hosted by the Parents' Guild, is a time-honoured tradition that brings together the SMA community to celebrate its diversity and culture. Similar to Folklorama, this event offers a variety of ethnic food pavilions, artistry, music, and dance. International Day is the primary fundraiser for the Parents' Guild, with proceeds benefiting extra-curricular activities and equipment for their students. All are welcome. Admission is free!

LiveLoud Worship Event - May 19, 2024
Be inspired and moved by the power of music and faith! Join this one-of-a-kind worship night celebrating faith through music - an experience to remember for all attending. Liveloud Worship is an advocacy that promotes and declares the Word through Catholic music. The movement began in 2009 as an avenue to create and promote original music and soon after evolved into an annual worship concert. While its main thrust continues to be sharing God's love and the beauty of the faith through music, Liveloud is also meant to be a way of life: living each day according to our identity as children of God. Over the years, Liveloud has been able to expand its reach to many different countries all over the world. It was in 2012 that Liveloud in Canada began and it has since held its worship concerts/nights in cities across Canada and recently led two worships during World Youth Day in Portugal.
